Adult Therapy for ADHD and Childhood Trauma

You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin.

Maybe you’re making sense of a late ADHD diagnosis. Maybe your childhood still shows up in your relationships, your self-talk, or the way your body responds to stress. We can start there.

Room to understand yourself differently.

I work with adults navigating ADHD, the lasting impact of difficult childhoods, overwhelm, and relationship or attachment patterns. As a late-diagnosed ADHDer myself, I bring lived experience alongside a neuroaffirming, trauma- and attachment-informed approach.

  • Making sense of your experiences with less shame and more self-compassion
  • Understanding nervous system needs, boundaries, and self-advocacy
  • Exploring identity, relationships, and patterns you want to change

Therapy with me makes space for your story and the context around it. We can be compassionate about how you got here while working toward changes that matter to you. There is room for honest conversations, practical problem-solving, and a little humour along the way.

My clinical background includes 8+ years working with complex trauma and attachment in children’s mental health, alongside my private practice with children and adults. Get to know Amanda.

Your first session: just show up as you are.

We’ll start by getting to know each other: who you are, what you love, what lights you up, and what you hope for. We’ll go at your pace, with no pressure to talk about anything you don’t want to. We may laugh, we may cry. You don’t need to know where to start—I’m comfortable taking the lead and helping you settle in.

Let’s see if we’re a good fit.

Share a little about what brings you here. You don’t need a perfectly worded explanation—just somewhere to start.
